2
Librah - My love is 4ever (Repress) - B1. Gravity
Repress
Special Remarks: Limited 200 copies / chrystal clear transparent vinyl
Tracklist 12”:
A1. My Love is 4ever
A2. Gravity
Short info:
Limited Repress of a Deep House Classic. 12inch comes as clear transparent vinyl.
Yore stays on top of the game during this Pandemic, with another repress of one of the labels most sought-after 12 »ches : Librah’s « My Love is 4ever » brings you that Deep and yet playable Classic New York House Sound, which will sure find it’s way into your Bag. Be quick, as these will sell out in just about 2 minutes and 3 seconds.
Not much information is available about Librah aside from the fact that the outfit hails from Sweden and that they released the critically acclaimed deep house twelve-inch “2BWU” on Parkwest in 2012, that brought the Deep House EP of the year for those true Loft heads and lucky clouds. “Out of step”, “Timeless” music. Librah’s follow up release on Yore Records is a sure sign of quality, however, and, true enough, My Love is 4ever is what every House Set needs. The perfect balance between deepness and punch. The release splits two Deep House tracks across its twelve-inch, transparent-coloured vinyl sides (limited to 200 copies), and supplements them with a digital-only bonus mix of the title cut.
The material’s mood is largely one of joy and uplift. The silky smooth title track quickly locks into its snappy house groove at the outset, and then pulls back the curtains to let the sunlight pour in. A bright theme imbues the skipping pulse with flavour, and the track rolls along for seven quietly jubilant minutes, its carefree spirit bolstered by a dreamlike vocal refrain and luscious synthesizer textures.
Unspooling at a slightly slower BPM, the B-side’s “Gravity” opens with a sampled voiceover of grave character (When you live in a poor neighborhood, you’re living in an area where you have to have poor schools / When you have poor schools, you have poor teachers...) before fixating on the tunes insistently swinging and hypnotic instrumental design.
The digital mix of “My Love is 4ever” packs a punch, too, especially when it pounds a bit harder than the original and sweetens the deal with a funky bass part and a twinkly keyboard riff. Despite being obviously similar to the original, the bonus version offers an irresistibly funky and infectious riff on the original, so much so it’s easy to picture the dancefloor filling up in response to it.

Kaidi Tatham - It never Stops (06:40)
2
Kaidi Tatham - One For The Brain (06:36)
2024 Repress
Genre: House, Jazz, Breaks, Electronic, Beatdown,
Tracklist 12":
A1. It never Stops 06:40
B1. One For The Brain 06:36
Release Info:
Imagine a held-up-in-traffic Wayne Shorter arriving late to a Weather Report studio session and Joe Zawinul, Victor Bailey, and Omar Hakim filling in the time by jamming on a grooving house cut. Had that happened, it might have sounded a little bit like “It Never Stops,” one of two ultra-fresh tracks on Kaidi Tatham's Yore debut. Jazz and house are obviously distinct genres, yet as this irresistible cut makes clear swing is common to both. The other track, the cerebrally titled “One for the Brain,” locates itself closer to house music proper but is no less appealing for doing so.
Given the jazzy vibe of “It Never Stops,” it's fitting that Benji B once deemed Tatham the "Herbie Hancock of the United Kingdom.” Regarded as one of the originators of the Broken Beat sound, the UK-based multi-instrumentalist has worked with many an artist, from Bugz In The Attic and The Herbaliser to DJ Jazzy Jeff, and his session work credits list Slum Village, Amy Winehouse, Soul II Soul, and others. His own discography includes EPs and releases for labels such as 2000 Black, First World Records, Theo Parrish's Sound Signature, Eglo Records, and now, of course, Yore.
“It Never Stops” rolls in on a wave of silky synthesizer textures and percolating precision with a tight, funky groove that instantly pulls you into its velvety world. Triangles, electric bass, and clavinet add collective radiance to the material as the tune struts its way into your psyche. As if to make the jazz connection even more explicit, Tatham works an acoustic piano solo into the cut's second half before shifting focus back to the groove for the coda. “One for the Brain,” by comparison, digs into its chugging house pulse with fervour whilst also sweetening the arrangement with painterly synth flourishes. This one charges with breathless determination and like “It Never Stops” nods in jazz's direction with the inclusion of a freewheeling piano solo. Every minute and second on this strictly limited 12“ release seem's meaningful.

Yore is on something like a roll at the moment. Think of Kaidi Tatham's "It never Stops EP", or the much acclaimed version of Frankie Knuckles Tears by Chicago's Elbert Philips & Andre Espeut or the recent series of classic Detroit Techno Ep's by our very own P0lyrhythm. A lot is to be expected with having had these under our belts. But as you'd expect, we draw out quick, faster than Lucky Luke's shadow - this time with a deep as its gets Techno EP by ReKaB.
It's easy to forget that, at its core, Techno hopes for a better future. This new four-track EP of connoisseur-grade repetitive beats from ReKaB (AKA James Baker) reminds us of this with a reverent nod to the past and a look forward to a human-centred tomorrow.
Tradition is a big part of the ReKaB sound. Classic timbres run through all the tracks, but what James does so well is how he deploys and contrasts the elements. Piano chords layer late-night soul over syncopated bass. Comforting strings and ethereal pads upgrade your consciousness while your body remains rooted by Techno City square waves. Call and response between acid lines and synth patterns feel like the machines interact, whilst the ever-present 909 thump adds the all-important dance floor framework.
Throughout the whole EP, ReKaB shows deep knowledge and respect for the art form, proving he is no less than a master of the craft.

A1. Artispure Feat. The Remedy - Chicago Underground (Andrew Emil Dreamix)
B1. Change Request - Sunday's Best (Andrew Emil Dreamix)
B2. Elbert Phillips, Andre Espeut - Sunlight (Andrew Emil Dreamix)
Release Info:
Chicago house producer Andrew Emil (aka Change Request) joins Andy Vaz's Yore label. House music that comes directly from the source – That is Chicago, IL.
The “Nite Dreams” release features remixes (called here Dreamixes) by Emil of one of his own Change Request productions and two by other artists.
The three lustrous Dreamixes on Emil's Nite Dreams are, put simply, irresistible. Chicago-based music collective Artispure (feat. The Remedy) opens the release with the enticingly swinging “Chicago Underground,” its dynamic house groove sprinkled with claps, chunky synth chords, slick hi-hat accents, and soulful vocal interjections. Made over by Emil, the tune's straight-up fabulous. The snappy Change Request production “Sunday's Best” glides breezily on a tropical wave of claps, a skipping house groove, and gentle melodic figures that give the music a nostalgic, even plaintive quality. The closing cut, Emil's soulful treatment of “Sunlight” by native Chicagoan Elbert Phillips and singer Andre Espeut, shows no drop-off. With a snare-popping groove driving the tune and Espeut laying a beautiful vocal across the percolating backdrop, “Sunlight” rivals the other two tracks for quality and appeal. Vaz keeps bringing them strong.

Tracklist 12":
1. Rough Edges 05:09

3. Eden 06:11
4. Undisclosed Thoughts 04:54
Release Info:
Sebastian Gummersbach's Yore debut brings with it a further refinement of the material he's created for the German label Raw Soul. It specializes in material infusing modern house and techno grooves with flavourings of jazz, funk, and soul, the result a timeless take on house music. Anyone who's been keeping tabs on Andy Vaz's Yore releases will realize immediately that the same description could be applied to his imprint.
Given all that, it's easy to understand why Gummersbach, a producer hailing from Neuss, Germany, is such a natural fit for Yore. There's no small amount of artistry in play in the EP's four tracks, each one arguing strongly on behalf of his skills as an arranger and mood shaper. No cut better shows that than the opening “Rough Edges,” which is, frankly, anything but rough. He builds the arrangement methodically, starting with warm, billowing washes and then layering in step-by-step dub atmospherics, a strutting house pulse, congas, and synth ear-worms—a seductively smooth intro to the release.Gummersbach might have been listening to Hall and Oates's “I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)” prior to crafting “Calming Solitude” when the latter sounds so much like a clubby instrumental riff on the hit. Here too silky chords and synth textures merge with a rousing beat pattern to draw listeners to the dance floor.
On the flip side, “Eden” initially changes things up with a classic B-Boy beat and handclaps, but the tune gradually aligns itself to the character of the EP's other body-movers, even if acid-tinged synths become part of the mix. Closing out the release is the most techno-oriented of the four cuts, “Undisclosed Thoughts,” acid once again central to the track's identity and the chugging groove frothy. The word Eden naturally calls to mind the Biblical paradise, and consistent with that the tone of Gummersbach's EP, its A-side cuts especially, is generally smooth, serene, and harmonious; it's also, as stated, a seamless addition to the Yore catalogue.

4. Inner Monologue 07:35
Release Info:
We return with the second Glenn Davis” 12”, a year on from his last Yore twelve-inch “Soul On My Side”, Dublin-based DJ and producer Glenn Davis returns with its sequel, the as-stellar Better Daze. The EP's melodic, soulful sound. The dynamic title cut locks in instantly with a pumping kick drum and builds layer by layer thereafter. Percussion, hi-hats, electric piano chords, and synthesizers add to the thrust of the production as it grows ever more urgent. As the track advances, Davis drapes a jazzy keyboard solo across the booming base as the swing swells to a near-ecstatic level. “Your Time” rounds out the A-side with a cut that suggests pure energy at its outset before quickly morphing into a sleek house strut. With percussion included and late-night synth atmospherics folded in, the breezy tune starts to sound like something you'd hear banging out on the Dancefloor thats surrounding you.
On the flip, Davis brings the skipping house groove of "Inner Monologue” to a fever while. Moody chords, hand drums, and a snappy groove set the scene. The female vocalist's soulful delivery and vibes-like earworm that make the tune the standout it is. Think of a dark Room and a red light bulb & House Music forever and a day.

1. How We Groove 05:48
2. From Day to Night 6:53
3. Believe 05:50
Release Info:
With How We Groove, Lello Di Franco (L.D.F.) and Brian Garrett (Javonntte) pair up for a prototypical Yore release, a high-quality affair that's natural clubby yet also artful. Di Franco's an Italian DJ and producer who's based in Naples and whose career began in the early '90s; Garrett, on the other hand, hails from Detroit and has been creating material for almost as long. Their respective output locates itself solidly in house and techno but extends into soul, funk, and jazz areas too. Said gravitations aren't mere flirtations either; Garrett's interest in jazz began in high school, and when he was fifteen or so the aspiring musician even had a month's worth of lessons in the mid-'80s with-wait for it-Miles Davis (Garrett's mom apparently had connections). Associations with Aretha Franklin, Blake Baxter, and others surface in his history-but that's for another time.
All three tracks qualify as dance productions but satisfy equally well on pure listening grounds. While a strong '80s vibe initially oozes from "Believe" in the electronic drum fills that get it moving, the cut quickly settles into a light-speed groove that percolates with single-minded determination. The richly detailed arrangement shape-shifts rapidly: at one moment, syncopated piano chords give the track a classic house feel; at another synthesizer flourishes and bass pulses lend it a sleek, sci-fi quality as the material thrusts breathlessly forward. The less frenetic "From Day to Night" is earthier and funkier though no less artful. As a punchy bottom end establishes an infectious house vibe (with a bit of jazz swing also in the mix), see-sawing vocal elements and bubbly synthesizer touches elevate the track to a headier 'listening' realm. At first it seems as if the title track might venture into gospel territory, what with organ and piano dominating the intro, but soon enough the tune brands itself as a swaggering house cut, albeit one replete with funky drop-outs and trippy vocal effects. No matter how adventurous and experimental the material gets, pumping bass drums and swishing pulses ensure the tracks never lose their identity as floor-fillers.

He's the founder of Compufunk Records (the longest-running record shop for House and Techno in Japan) and, as the four solidly crafted tracks show, an experienced producer in his own right. The vertigo-inducing title track struts aggressively with a high-velocity swing peppered by tinkling synth accents and acidy squelches, after which “Abyss” cools the pace for a sexier House style (a swishing drum machine detail even gives the cut a rather Kraftwerk-like tinge). On the flip, “Midnight Sky” grooves as boldly, this time with a smattering of Garage worked into its swing and chiming synths brightening the mix, while “Mind Power” changes things up with a swirling bottom end that's so dizzying it's positively gyroscopic. Dj Compufunk sn't averse to packing his productions with layers of dizzying detail, and as a result the stimulation level remains high throughout. Strictly limited 250 copies.

Ben White - Just Give Love A Try
When Ben White was 25 years old Eddy Bongo Brown of the Funk Brothers brought him to Motown to play with Marvin Gay, 5 years later he recorded this single 'I would have to be a fool' and released it himself. Ben comes from a long line of musicians in his family, his cousins are Cab Calloway and Otis Redding. Over the years he sessioned for Marvin Gay, Bloodstone, Carl Carlton, High Energy, Harold Johnson, J.W. Alexander, Richard T & The Salsoul Orchestra Unfortunately, as is often the case, children came along and Ben moved away from music, this and forthcoming AOTN single 'Give Me Love' were his only solo recordings unless we can find the tapes of his lost LP further down the line.

Instant House (Joe Claussell) - Lost Horizons (Percussion Bonus)
Repress!
Before he co-founded the legendary Sunday afternoon event Body & Soul with fellow New York DJs Danny Krivit and Francois Kevorkian in 1996, Joaquin "Joe" Claussell was the driving force behind Instant House, an eclectic production outift who released a series of uplifting deep house records, several of which were spun by David Mancuso at the 90s iteration of his influential Loft parties.
In 1993, Instant House released their deepest single, Lost Horizons, through Jungle Sounds Recordings. The A-side, ‘Lost Horizons (The Mind Travel Saturday Night Sunday Morning Mix)’ is a seventeen-minute and twenty-second sojourn into the vibrant club sounds of early 90s NYC. Driven by a Latin-accented man-machine beat that marches into infinity, it comes backed by two shorter mixes, ‘Lost Horizons’ and ‘Lost Horizons (Percussion Bonus)’. Twenty-nine years later, Isle of Jura presents an official vinyl and digital reissue of this slow-burning deep cut.
The Instant House story begins in the late 80s at Dance Tracks, an East Village record store established by the businessman, DJ, and graphic designer Stan Hatzakis. Patronised by New York trendsetters like Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan, Dance Tracks was considered one of the world's best underground dance music retailers.
During the winter of 1991, Stan got together with one of his best customers, Tony Confusione, to make music. A wall street guy by day and a keyboardist by night, Tony was also a serious DJ. Not long after their first recording sessions, they invited another Dance Tracks fixture, Joaquin "Joe" Claussell, to join them in Tony’s state-of-the-art home studio in Long Island. He brought a vibrant, percussive edge to the sample-based tracks Stan and Tony were cooking up. Emboldened, the three DJs began recording together as Instant House. That year, they released the Dance Trax EP.
In 1992, after Instant House had dropped two certified classics, 'Over' and 'Awade', for Jungle Sounds Records, Stan exited the group and sold Dance Tracks to Joe and his business partner, Stefan Prescott. Following Stan's departure, Joe and Tony headed into the studio for a special recording session. “I just remember how powerful the connection was while we were making that record,” explains Joe, recalling the creation of ‘Lost Horizons (The Mind Travel Saturday Night Sunday Morning Mix)’. “It was a very spiritual encounter in the studio.”
While laying out the drum patterns, sound effects, and arrangement, Joe explained the vibe to Tony, who played the lush cosmic chords and an effortless keyboard saxophone line over the top. “That was Tony completely feeling himself,” Joe reflects. “He performed majestically.”
After the release of the Lost Horizons 12”, Joe received a phone call from Cisco International Corp. A plane flight later, he was sitting in their label offices in Tokyo, talking to a senior record executive who wanted to introduce Lost Horizons to Japan. “What they were primarily doing at the time was pressing classical records - we’re talking thousand dollar plus classical reissues - and they wanted to license and distribute Lost Horizons,” Joe remembers. Three years later, Joe and Tony released 'Asking Forgiveness', their final 12” as Instant House, before parting ways with full hearts.
In the context of his career as a DJ, remixer, and producer, Joe is known for long songs and compositions. As Lost Horizons illustrates, he’s carried that impulse with him since his foundational days. “When I produce, I don’t believe in the beginning or endpoint of anything,” Joe explains. “I really despise the rules. To me, that’s not true to the art of creation. I just believe there is a flow in creation. When we were making music in the 90s, we were restricted by format, but that record could have gone on forever.”
The 12” is housed in a full sleeve jacket by Bradley Pinkerton based on the original release design. More

More

mistafide - Equidity Funk
Not much is known about the crew behind 'Mistafide', their government names are listed online but this is the only record they put out using this name. Suffice to say, this has no impact on the fury and style with which the MC's deliver their raps, backed with the studio nous of impresario Peter Brown. Across 12 minutes 'Equdity Funk' is a slamming Disco-rap monster, interpolating elements of the evergreen B-boy jam 'Theme From SWAT' it sounds like everyone just got into the studio and went for it. In the style of the times this is the real hip-hop flavour, a live band, some MC's and some death defying bars being dropped, proper old school. A truly rare recording, 'Equidity Funk' has been one of those records fans of the Disco-rap era have been fiending for for decades - often commanding prices over the $1000 mark you can now grab this slice of essential NYC street Funk.

Soulstatejazz, under the leadership of the multi-talented Tom Ellis, unveils their latest auditory adventure, “SOL 3”, released on Chapelle XIV. This double LP vinyl is a symphonic journey, demonstrating a matured finesse in blending jazz, electronic, and house music. Recorded in the creative hubs of Mark Hand’s studio in Hartlepool and the Malt Barn studio in Wales, “SOL 3” is an embodiment of musical innovation and collaborative spirit.
Tom Ellis, showcasing his virtuosic skills, handles drums, percussion, bass, guitar, piano, and synths, setting a dynamic foundation for the album. Mark Hand’s mastery of the Fender Rhodes and synths adds a melodic depth, complemented by Michiel Renger’s soulful tenor sax. Dave Elson’s contributions with electronic percussion and effects, coupled with Vicky Flint’s mesmerizing trumpet and flute, create a rich, multi-layered soundscape. The inclusion of Bugu Pala and Charles Morgan’s evocative vocals further enriches the album’s diverse palette.
“SOL 3” stands out as an exploration of rhythm, melody, and improvisation. It is an album where each track seamlessly transitions into the next, creating a continuous musical narrative that is both engaging and transformative. The ensemble’s ability to fuse diverse elements into a cohesive sound is remarkable, making “SOL 3” a testament to their creative evolution and a landmark in contemporary jazz and electronic music.

DELUXE HARD-CARDBOARD SLEEVE COVER + 180g VINYL + OBI
A rare album, “Fisher” was originally released on the Nentu label in 1976.
Think Grant Green meets Eddie Hazel.
This LP has it all: gorgeous Soul Jazz, wahed-out fuzz Rock, dirty, head-nodding Funk Rhythms.
It's a monster psychedelic soul-funk instrumental album. This is less jazzy than the “Third Cup” and “The Next One Hundred Years”, released by Chicago’s Cadet label and more cosmic psych funk across both sides and gets super exploratory and trippy.

Tranquil Elephantizer - Trisha Elephantizer (Original Mix)
Red Laser's Il Bosco had his mind blown when Felix Dickinson dropped this monster remix when playing the labels club night at the legendary White Hotel in Manchester.
The RL crew were surprised to learn this remix had never been released and immediately contacted ET to secure a full vinyl only release along with the epic original mix.
Since then, this has been an anthem at the Red Laser White Hotel residency and beyond. Don't sleep on this epic slab of anthemic synth jizz. More

Dexter Wansel - Life On Mars

Dexter Wansel - The Sweetest Pain
Yet another highly in-demand 12" from the Philadelphia International stable and an artist whose records never go out of date! This is a killer double-sided beauty with the frenetic and jazzy "Life On Mars" from his debut 1976 album on the top-side and the mellow all-time classic and soul boy anthem "The Sweetest Pain" from 1979 on the flip.
Two very different sides of a great artist, both of which show the level of diversity that he was capable of producing. The last legitimate release of this was back 1999 and a Mint copy will currently set you back circa £50, if you can ever find one.
Fully remastered on limited edition 180 gram heavyweight vinyl. More
