As the warehouse-rave season approaches, it’s perfect timing for Shadow Child & Mark Archer to make their collaborative debut on Food Music with a special release that includes 2 vinyl only exclusives that saw a digital release on DJ Haus’ Dance Trax label earlier in 2023. The missing pieces of the NJOI puzzle are finally coming to you via Food Music on both 12" vinyl & digital formats. The electronic music pioneers unveil 'Hidden Gems Vol. 2', the final part in a special series of previously unreleased material that follows part 1 and their 'Collected' album. The package also features the incredible vocal talents of Republica star, Saffron, who originally performed with NJOI over 30 years ago, as well as Luvain and Krayzee Thoughts.

We’re absolutely stoked that Zero B’s ‘Lock Up’ is the next instalment in Shadow Child’s ‘Curated by’ series on Food Music ..with a remaster exclusively cut to vinyl and a huge remix package in tow from the likes of Red Rack’em, Kiwi, 2 Bad Mice and more. This one is truly alive everywhere still and all these years later, these new mixes are set to take it as far as Lock Up has ever been before. Red Rack’em takes his huge, unique wonky approach to a new high with atmospheric synths & breakbeats wrapping around that incredible Bassline. Food Music is massively privileged to officially bring you Xpansions “Move Your Body”, as the next instalment of Shadow Child’s ‘Curated by’ series. With all manner of DJs reaching for the original 1990 hit still to this day, we’ve remastered it exclusively to vinyl and brought you fully official reworks from today’s elite. Using original salvaged parts from the Xpansions vaults, we have remixes from Krystal Klear, Rebuke, and Loods who all bring a fresh take as we enter summer 2019. Krystal Klear heads up the mix package, taking us into electronic bliss with his sublimely fresh synth stabs and a huge breakdown that will tease all your senses. Rebuke’s massive techno twister is set for the big rooms too, with a new riff following the bassline melody, trippy vocal production, rolling percussion and his trademark crescendo’s. Finally, Loods takes us on a retro house tip with pulsating hi-hats and a new take on the melody with bumping bassline’s and energy. More

3 of Shadow Child’s “Connected” collaboration album tracks get a makeover from Rimbaudian, MJ Cole and Bodhi. Rising talent Rimbaudian reworks the only solo track from the project, “Steak Fingers”, and takes the original bumping stripped back groove on a more melodic journey with its stunning arpeggios and new string parts. The backbone of the original remains but be prepared to take a trip to a new stratosphere, with his stripped version which is included too. Bodhi step up next to remix “Gacid”, twisting and turning the original acid patterns and grooves to make a special rework that gives a nod to early Detroit with new drum programming and pads. The Welsh duo bring the heat.
